Tile finished pools
Tile is one of the most durable pool finishes and offers an array of design possibilities. Tiles are often applied to the pool’s waterline, floor, or steps to provide a colorful accent; they can also be used to finish the total interior of a pool. Tile’s glossy appearance makes the most of water’s reflective properties and are adored for the artistic look and upscale glamour they lend to pool designs and other watershapes.
Though tile is the most expensive type of pool finish and takes longer to install than plaster and aggregate finishes, it is the longest lasting pool surface. With proper application and minimal maintenance, tiles should never need to be replaced.
Tile pool finishes include ceramic, porcelain, glass and stone tiles. All pool tiles come in a vast selection of shapes, styles, colors, and sizes, offering virtually endless combinations and designs.
Aggregate pool finish
An aggregate pool finish is a combination of plaster and another material like quartz, glass beads, granite, or river stones. This type of finish produces a luxurious appearance and is more resistant to damages than plaster alone. It can also be customized to provide a unique colour and texture to the pool and can also be exposed or polished.
Aggregate is carefully hand applied in the pool shell. However, once the finish has been set, it is power washed with water and muriatic mixture while still wet. The mixture will clear away the top coat of the finish exposing beautiful coloured pebbles or glass beads in it. Depending on your style, you can choose different colours and textures. Pebble finishes make a pool look more natural like that of a lagoon, while the glass bead finishes provide an elegant look by reflecting the sunlight.
Monsoon Pools provide a range of aggregate finishes available for selection. Our current range of colours/finishes is provided below.
